Gerard Piqué’s support for a Catalan independence referendum vote
has been criticised through his Spanish teammmate Sergio Ramos.
FC Barcelona defender Piqué has frequently advocated the Catalan
reason, which has riled Spanish
nationalist supporters up to now.
The 30-year-old has even been booed, jeered, and whistled at
whilst representing the Spanish nationwide soccer workforce.
Piqué lent additional support for the referendum on social media on
Writing in Catalan on Twitter, he referred to as for a relaxed political
procedure forward of the vote on October 1.
“From nowadays and till Sunday, allow us to specific ourselves
peacefully. We do not give them any excuse. That’s what they
need. And we sing smartly tall and very robust. We will vote.”

The message has not long gone down smartly with Real Madrid defender
Ramos, who is a world teammate of Piqué’s with Spain.
As quoted in MARCA,
Ramos says Piqué’s persevered lobbying for the vote will best
embolden the Spanish nationwide soccer fanatics who whistle at him.
“Pique’s tweet is not the most efficient if you do not want them to
whistle,” Ramos stated.
“Maybe the tweet is not the most efficient for the crowd both however
everybody is loose to mention what they suspect.”
The Government of Catalonia has set a referendum on independence
from Spain for October 1.
