Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) congratulated Judge Roy Moore on his blowout victory within the Alabama Senate GOP number one over Sen. Luther Strange (R-AL) — the candidate he sponsored.
“I would like to congratulate Roy Moore on his victory in Alabama tonight,” McConnell stated in a commentary.
McConnell added that Moore “ran a spirited campaign centered around dissatisfaction with the progress made in Washington” — now not acknowledging his personal position as senate majority chief or strengthen for Strange.
“I share that frustration,” McConnell stated, pledging to strengthen Trump’s schedule, noting it used to be what “the American people voted for last November.”
“We look forward to Judge Moore’s help enacting that agenda when he arrives,” he stated:

McConnell pledged to again Moore within the common election scheduled for December 12 in opposition to Democrat Doug Jones and suggested the ones lively in the main election to “redouble” their efforts within the common election.
Moore ran on an anti-establishment platform that rebuked McConnell and institution Republicans in Washington.
